Much of what cats are saying here is subjective. Ping pong shows in general are not a "scam". Can you get scammed? Sure. But as someone that's gone to like 20 of them. It's decent silly fun. They'll usually charge you a cover. Around 500 to 750 baht. Which usually includes a drink. Beer, or house pour bottom shelf. You do NOT have to buy another drink or tip anything. Will they ask and try to pressure you? Sure. But it's not different than at most gogo bars. Just say no. The cover fee usually gets you a show that's about 20-30 minutes long. To avoid issues, ask flat out how much drinks are. They will be priced higher than most places. The reason people generally fell like they're getting scammed is because the prices are high or they dont know how to say no.

Ping pong shows can be kitschy fun. Just like tuk tuks. Just know you're paying for the experience. I always tell people do it once. Personally, i think Phuket actually has some damn good shows. Ones in BKK suck. Pattaya is hit or miss.

Unfortunately, thats not really how they work. I've rarely gone to one twice. Except back in the day when Angelwitch and others had them in Nana Plaza. A place will have the show one day, and then not. And honestly, i wouldn't recommend any in Bangkok. If you're pressed to go, Patong is the area. Not cowboy or nana. Walking street pretty much anywhere. Talk to the touts outside of 808 Club. The ones near there are pretty fun. One more tip. NEVER go to a ping pong show or gogo with a white/european tout. Male or female. They work for the Russian clubs. No No No!!! You WILL get ripped off and maybe beaten if you just want to leave.
