Quick question and very sorry that this has almost certainly been asked before but search is failing me: Is Grab a reasonable option for getting from Bangkok to Pattaya and back again for an evening? Or are there better or more reliable options? I don’t really mind the expense but I want to make sure I don’t arrive and find myself unable to get a ride back to Bangkok. And I’d rather not spend hours in a shuttle driving all around Bangkok picking up people. Thanks!
Yes or bolt, or just talk to a taxi and agree a fixed price, that's what I usually do
Bus is not and super affordable. Maybe you can go by bus and back by grab which may offer a good combo.
You can grab train as well, if I remember correctly it leaves Bkk early and there are no congestions but its schedule is scarce
I had a bad experience with Grab this week. I pre booked a taxi to collect me from the pier in Phuket after my trip to Krabi. When I arrived the driver asked me to walk to the main road to meet them. When I was almost there the driver cancelled the ride and left me stranded.
